On Saturday, December 13th, 331 students from 27 schools across the Puget Sound participated in our biannual programming contest. Due to high demand in the previous contest we arranged to host the contest at two sites: UW Seattle and Microsoft Redmond. We had about 145 students in 50 teams representing 22 schools join us Saturday for our programming contest hosted and sponsored by the Living Computer Museum!   We had 5 schools registered with 5 Teams each: Cleveland, Garfield, Interlake, Kamiak & Tahoma High Schools and 4 Teams from Roosevelt HS.  Thank you to all the teachers who helped promote and coordinate students for our event.  The contest was exciting and close with only 15 points and 16 minutes separating our…

246 students in 91 teams representing 24 schools joined us on Saturday, December 14th for a programming competition jointly hosted UW CSE’s DawgBytes program!  The event was generously sponsored by Microsoft. Dozens of teachers and industry volunteers made this event possible.  All of your contributions were invaluable to making this event a success.  Thank you! Another successful competition has come and gone! We had 27 teams participate from 12 schools, 12 judges from industry, and 10 advisors.  Amazon.com was our official sponsor! They provided us with many judges, 17 pizzas from Zeek’s, tons of snacks and breakfast items, drinks, shirts for everyone, gift cards, and two kindles! Registration is now open for the PS CSTA Spring Programming Contest ! Please join us on Saturday, April 28, for this great event. Register your team by April 22 to participate. Thank you to everyone that participated in, helped out with, or judged the programming competition! This was our largest turnout to date with 15 schools bringing 43 total teams!
